Microsoft 365 migration and governance, without the scripts.
Tools for IT teams to migrate to Microsoft 365 and keep Teams, SharePoint, Groups and OneDrive governed.
ShareGate, a Workleap product, builds Microsoft 365 tools trusted by more than 100,000 IT professionals. ShareGate Migrate moves content from SharePoint, file shares, Google Workspace, Box.com and mailboxes into Microsoft 365, and ShareGate Protect gives IT continuous visibility and governance across Teams, SharePoint, Groups and OneDrive. Protect surfaces oversharing, ownerless workspaces, stale guest access and sprawl, then guides safe, fully logged remediation using Microsoft-approved APIs. It complements Microsoft Purview and SharePoint Advanced Management rather than replacing them, and helps organisations prepare their tenant before rolling out Microsoft Copilot. ShareGate is bought by IT teams and Microsoft 365 service partners running migrations or governance programmes. Customers can license Migrate and Protect together, which suits organisations that need governance in place after a tenant move.

Microsoft Copilot does not create new access: it amplifies what already exists. ShareGate Protect shows IT who can see what and why, then helps tighten sharing links, confirm owners and remove inactive workspaces without disrupting collaboration.

Common questions before choosing ShareGate.
Protect is licensed per licensed Microsoft 365 user in your tenant, not per admin, feature or machine. Guests and external users are not counted, every capability is included, and you can start with any number of users on an annual term.
It depends mainly on data volume and complexity. Essentials suits small migrations of about 1 TB or less, Migrate Pro suits 1 to 5 TB with up to 5 concurrent migration machines, and Migrate Enterprise suits 5 TB and more with up to 25 machines and 24/7 prioritised support.
Yes. A free trial is available, starting with a Governance Risk Assessment of your Microsoft 365 tenant.
No. Protect complements Microsoft Purview, SharePoint Advanced Management and the Microsoft 365 admin centres. It does not replace classification, DLP or compliance tooling; it helps you fix the access conditions that affect how well those controls work.
Protect works within standard Microsoft 365 admin permission models and does not need elevated or non-standard privileges. Remediation uses Microsoft-approved Graph and admin APIs, and nothing runs without operator review.
Yes. Organisations moving to a new tenant often pair Migrate for the move with Protect for governance afterwards, and we can quote both together.
